Go for it! The Savage is sort of an unusual bike in that it's light enough and predictable enough for an absolute beginner, yet has enough torque and beans (biker's favorite canned food!) to keep experienced riders interested. I've been riding for 38 years now and I'm NOT bored with my Savage.
Will be getting her a bigger, meaner garage-mate soon, but she's not going anywhere!
